Do flower enthusiasts often encounter the situation where they don't know how to care for Phalaenopsis seedlings after flowering, and accidentally kill the plants? Today, I will share with you the maintenance tips for Phalaenopsis seedlings after flowering.

Medium
Choose sphagnum moss as the cultivation medium for Phalaenopsis. Sphagnum moss has excellent water absorption and air permeability, and is also rich in the organic matter necessary for the growth of Phalaenopsis. It can greatly reduce the probability of problems such as root rot and black rot, and create an excellent growth environment for the roots of Phalaenopsis.

Repotting
After the flowers wither, you need to cut off the flower spikes in time. Leaving the flower spikes will continue to consume nutrients. At the same time, you also need to repot the plant. Because after the Phalaenopsis has finished flowering, the original flower pot may no longer be able to accommodate its roots. If you don't change to a larger space, the roots will not have enough room to grow. Prepare a new flower pot and sphagnum moss. Sphagnum moss has strong water absorption and air permeability. Soak it wet and wrap it around the original root system. As long as the roots are not rotten, there is no need to touch the original sphagnum moss and old roots.

Light
Phalaenopsis seedlings like light, but you should avoid direct sunlight exposure. You can place them in a place with scattered light. At the same time, it prefers a well-ventilated environment and should not be exposed to rain, as getting wet in the rain is likely to breed bacteria and cause the plant to get sick. For example, it is a good choice to place it in a well-ventilated position near the window indoors.

Watering
The frequency of watering should be determined according to the maintenance environment. If the environment is well-ventilated, you can water once every 7 to 10 days; if it is in a semi-closed environment, watering once every 15 days is also okay. Slowly pour water along the edge of the flower pot, and don't let water accumulate in the center of the leaves, otherwise it is easy to cause the heart of the plant to rot. Insert your finger into the planting medium, and you can water when you feel it is dry.

Fertilization
Fertilization can make Phalaenopsis grow stronger. Apply water-soluble fertilizer once a month. The water-soluble fertilizer has good solubility, which can enable Phalaenopsis to absorb nutrients better and help the plant grow vigorously. Remember to apply thin fertilizers frequently, and never apply too much at one time, otherwise it is easy to burn the roots.

In fact, it is not difficult to care for Phalaenopsis seedlings after flowering. As long as you master these little tips and take good care of them, the Phalaenopsis will definitely bloom beautifully again.
