Lavender planting methods and maintenance secrets

Lavender was originally introduced from Europe and the Mediterranean. The most common ones on the market are the plume lavender and the Spanish lavender. The former variety is relatively easy to raise, and its heat resistance is particularly good, while the latter has bracts on the top of the inflorescence like small rabbit ears, and the small flowers on the lower hem are the lavender grass flowers, which is a more interesting variety.

Lavender is a perennial plant that is evergreen throughout the four seasons and is very easy to keep. Its ease of keeping is that even if you only buy one seedling when you buy it, you don't give it good soil, leave it outside in the summer to bask in the sun without shading, and don't put it indoors in the winter for the winter. When it comes to the blooming season, it can still bloom to explode the flower pot. However, although lavender has strong vitality, some flower friends still say that they can't keep it well, so where do most of the ultimate problems come from? The following is the editor's analysis.
The reason why it is not well kept, the first one is that the flower friends did not take it out completely to raise it outdoors, just leaving it indoors without giving it any sunlight, and the fastest solution is to take it outdoors, and when the light and ventilation are given well, it will naturally grow very well.
In this regard, some flower friends also said that they are worried that if lavender is raised outdoors, there will be problems such as wind and rain, sun exposure in summer, and freezing in winter. In fact, this is not a big deal at all, because lavender is heat-resistant to 40 degrees in summer and can withstand minus tens of degrees in winter.
Secondly, the reason why lavender is not well raised is the reason why the soil is almost dry, especially when it is only raised with small plastic flower pots, in this case, the soil is more likely to be drawn dry, so it is recommended to choose at least 1.5-gallon pots (replace larger pots in time according to the subsequent growth size). Furthermore, it has no high requirements for the soil, and just choose loose garden soil. If you want it to grow better, you can also choose peat and the like.
Finally, in terms of watering and fertilizing, lavender itself is relatively drought-tolerant among the grass flowers. Even if you forget to water it for more than two or three days, as long as you can water it in time to supplement it, it can also recover naturally. As for the fertilizer, it has no special requirements. Usually, it is mainly with slow-release fertilizer, and at most, when it is in budding, it can be given a little water-soluble fertilizer with high phosphorus and potassium, so that it will bloom better later.
