Planting and maintenance methods of Oncidium:
Light: It likes bright scattered light. Place it by the window (east or north) and shade it in summer.
Temperature: It is suitable to be between 18℃ - 25℃. Keep warm in winter (not lower than 10℃) and ventilate and cool down in summer.
Watering: Water when dry and wet. Water thoroughly to prevent water accumulation. Keep the air humidity (50% - 70%). Spray water or use a humidifier.
Fertilization: Apply thin liquid fertilizer every 2 - 3 weeks during the growing season. Add phosphorus and potassium fertilizer before flowering. Don't let the fertilizer touch the leaves and flowers. Rinse the leaves after application.
Soil: Choose a medium with good looseness, air permeability and drainage, such as special soil for orchids or homemade (mixed with bark, perlite and peat soil).
Repotting: Repot once every 1 - 2 years. Spring and autumn are appropriate. Operate carefully when repotting. Clean the old soil and check the roots. After the seedlings recover, maintain it normally.
