Lilacs are a kind of flower favored by many people. They are relatively small in appearance and have an elegant shape, which is very attractive. Especially in April and May in spring and around July to August in autumn, as they are in the flowering period, their ornamental value will be even higher.
The flower language of lilacs is pure first love, which is very beautiful. Among them, different colors have different meanings. The white lilac represents youth and laughter; the mauve represents first love and beauty; and the blue-purple represents the budding of love. In terms of daily maintenance, the most common problem is the yellowing of leaves. What should we do when encountering similar situations? First of all, one of the possible reasons for yellow leaves is insufficient fertilization. During the growth and flowering period, if the fertilizer is insufficient, it may lead to malnutrition of the plant, and then the yellow leaves will appear. At this time, it is recommended to add fertilizer slowly and not give too much at one time, otherwise it will be counterproductive. Subsequent fertilization can be carried out once every half a month. It is recommended to use fertilizers with balanced nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium. If you stick to it for a month, the lilacs can be rejuvenated more quickly.
Secondly, the yellowing of leaves may also be caused by incorrect watering. In this case, the yellowing usually starts from the tip of the leaves, and the newly grown leaves will also be wilted. The reason is that too much watering makes the soil in the pot wet for a long time, and the roots cannot breathe normally. Therefore, we should remember to loosen the soil more often, not water too much, and move it back indoors in time when encountering rainy weather. Just remember the principle of "watering when the soil is dry and stopping when it is wet" for the soil.
Finally, insufficient daily light can also cause the yellowing of leaves. Generally, if it is placed in a space with insufficient light for a long time, its leaves cannot absorb light to carry out photosynthesis to generate chlorophyll normally, resulting in yellow leaves. At this time, it is best to place the lilacs in a place with better lighting conditions, such as on the balcony, so as to ensure sufficient light. However, it should be noted that in the hot summer, it is necessary to shade it, because the sunlight is too strong at this time and it is easy to burn its leaves, and then there will also be yellow leaves later.
